The North Little Rock Parks and Recreation Cheerleading teams competed recently at competitions in Hot Springs. The Elite Starz won 1st Place in the Junior Division and the Overall Champions Recreation Division at the JamFest Regionals. At the Mardi Gras Spirit Nationals Cheer Competition - the Sparkle Starz won 1st Place in the Tiny Level 1 division and the Sapphire Starz won 1st Place in the Youth Level 1 division.
The NLRPR Cheerleading Program will be competing at the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders National Competition being held Saturdday, January 28th at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Representing NLRPR will be our Junior Level 2 team the NLR Elite Starz. This team has 12 athletes ranging in ages 9 - 14 years. This team has won in over fifteen 1st place trophies and four Overall Recreation Grand Championships over the last three years.
The cheerleading program is coached by NLR Parks and Rereation staff Tammarrah Bryant and volunteer coaches Trinity Johnson and Deja Middleton.
